My Solar Music - Music In The Making
;

Music and dance, among all other things, are also an essential part of my life.

Music dispels sorrows, eases stress, brings joy. I invite you to welcome music and dance to bring joy to your life too.

I will play free if you invite me for events, public and private, my time and schedule permitting, provided they are not too far away. I will particularly favor and welcome events that are organized around issues involving global eco-sustainability, solar energy, peace, environmental concerns, with organic food, and low impact transportation.

I am particularly interested in music, art and video collaborations with others having a strong motivation to create new attitudes and action towards the change to a eco-sustainable society. Please contact me.

My music is solar powered when I play live outdoors, or when playing inside during the day close to a South facing window. I designed and assembled the solar system to power the entire set live: synths, laptop, mixer, amplifier. It is easy to assemble and tote around. Myself, I am entirely powered by organic food, another form of solar power.

My music is mostly done on a Korg NX5R / Yamaha QS300 hybrid synthesizer that I modified with a Yamaha DB50XG board, and controlled by a fantastically well designed piece of software XG-Gold written by my good friend Achim Stulgies in Germany.

The XG-Gold software swiftly accesses the hidden QS300 banks goldmine of the DB50XG, and allows change, manipulation of up to four voices, oscillators, waveforms, filters and effects to create rich, new, dynamic, expressive, brilliant and powerful voices and sounds, that in turn can again be combined to create yet more sounds and voices.

Achim also helped me with the technical savvy to modify the Korg NX5R to serve as the base unit/power supply/MIDI interface integrated by myself with a newly inserted DB50XG Yamaha QS300 board, affectionatelly known as the 'Ravers' Babe.'

Arrangements, MIDI, sequencing, mixing are done with Cakewalk Home Studio XL 2004/10 . I write all the compositions, play all the instruments, do all the arrangements, record with an M-Audio or Echo Indigo IO board on Cakewalk or Pyro, master and produce the MP3 sound files.

The QS300 sound dynamics are excellent, with deep rich lows, brilliant highs, and phatt, colorfull sounds. The music sounds terrific on a good set of speakers.

Please check these pages from time to time for new recordings.

Johan Sebastian Bach wrote hundreds of little gems called hymns throughout is entire life, almost one once every week for Sunday church service. I arranged and recorded a few that I find particularly beautiful, with a synth orchestra playing in the background, and me playing the lead voice in classical guitar. They will be posted here soon, and I will be glad to play them for your Church or Congregation during service.

Peace, love, and keep dancing.

Enjoy. All music Copyright (C) No More Wars 2005-2011. All Rights Reserved.
